Pleasant Surprise from a reader!

When I was queuing for my turn to pay at KKH clinic, a lady beside me was trying to chat with me. But at that moment of time my queue number was called and so I didn't get to chat with her. When I was at the counter she was beside me and she came to say hi to me and asked if i'm " Michiko Yoshikuni", that moment I was quite shocked because that was my blog name! Yeah! She says she has been reading my blog and she finds it inspiring. I was so touched to hear what she had said.

Thanks friend for been a loyal reader and i'm sorry that i didn't have much time to catch up with you and to get your name. You did mentioned to me that you have actually tried the 4th time but not sure if you are doing artificial insemination. But no matter what you have decided to do, all the best to you! Stay positive and continue to perserve to see result. I believe as long as you are determined, god will grant you your wish. =)

If you are still reading my blog, do private message me here and introduce yourself to me. I will be able to help if you need any advice. =)

Hi, my name is joy the lady who approach to you at Kkh clinic D counter last week thursday. While I was waiting for my number to be called your baby caught my attention , he is very cute and I wishing that he is mine and my tears dropped. I looked at your DH and I recognized him then I quickly google your blog and I confirmed that you are MICHIKO YOSHIKUNI. What a coincidence!!!

I'm glad that I found you, someone who's willing to listen my story and able to advice me :) I'm not good in English but I wanted to share my story....

So here is my story: My DH and I have been trying to conceive since we've got married at 2006.
My DH has a low sperm count. We did 1 cycle of IUI in Philippines at 2007 and it was failed.

We had our first IVF in Kkh with dr. Sadhana at 2011. It was pretty good, collected 22 eggs and 8 was fertilized. The best 2 grade embryos (2 grade 4 with both 10% fragmentation) was transferred to me. I got BFP as well and I suffered miscarried at 18 weeks due to undiagnosed cervix incompetent. That is the most sadness moment in my whole life. My DH n I decided to change my gyne and we chosen dr. Mathew Lau and we had IVF#2 (FET) resulted BFP but unfortunately my baby has no heartbeat at 6 weeks. I had another IVF #3 (FET) transferred the very next month and got a BFN.

Money was not a factor, after 8 months break, we started again . 30th march 2013 i had another fresh cycle of IVF #4 this time 25 eggs was collected and 7 was fertilized. We transferred 2 embryos again both are grade 4. So I was confident it was going to work since I have 5 grade 4 embryos and 2 grade 3 embryos. Last week16th April '13 went for pregnancy test and found my beta hcg is very low after 2 days 18th april '13 i repeated my pregnancy test and badnews my beta hcg is not doubling. Yesterday i got my menses already, my pregnancy is ended.

Hi Joy, nice to hear from you! Thanks for sharing your story with me and I feel for you! I had tried many attempts before I succeed this time. I didn't believe in IVF and tried 2 rounds of TCM but failed. I was devastated when it didn't succeed and my DH had the same problem as your hubby too. I told myself IVF will be my last resort and if it fails I will give in to fate. I always believe in fate, what's suppose to be mine will be mine.

I'm not sure if you believe, the reason why I am so determined to try for a baby even though I was told by two fortune tellers that I can't have one, is because I have played a ring game which turned out to be very true for my parent and grandparent. You can google from the web and it is very popular because it can tell if you are going to have kid or how many kids you are having.

I have tried many times and It shows I'm going to have at least more than 1 kid so that's the reason why I am so persistent.

True enough, god has granted me my wish for a kid. My chances for IVF was very low either because I have only 12 embryos and only 2 managed to fertilized which were of grade 4.

Try to stay positive and most importantly you and DH must relax while trying to conceive.

I always believe the reason for not been able to conceive successfully is because the couple is too tensed up and the body is under stress. When we are trying naturally for a baby, my DH has been working night shift and that could be the reason for our failure.

Do not despair, take a break for another 6 months before trying again. While waiting, try to take in more nutritious food to recuperate your body and same for your DH.

If you managed to conceive successfully, rest is very important and try not to take it too lightly. Even if you can't eat during the 1st 3 months, try to take in some nutritious food just for your baby. After you have passed the 10 weeks, you are safe!

Now even Dr Lau advised us to try naturally because even though my DH has low sperm count but it doesn't mean the number will not pick up. As long as he has ample rest and relax, the chances to conceive naturally is very high.

Take a holiday trip to relax and keep your mind away from baby making, this will only make your body more stressful. Though it is not easy but try to convince yourself and take it easy.

Do take care!

Hope to hear your good news soon. =)
